GCSE | TOP 5 EXAM REVISION TIPS
Updated: Feb 5, 2021
You have spent the last 18 months learning a new subject and now it's time to apply that knowledge in your exams. But how can you remember everything you have been taught? The answer is... REVISION!
Our experienced tutors at Tech Tutors share their top 5 revision tips for students to help you get the grades you deserve.
1. Start Revising Early
You can’t rush effective revision. By spreading out the workload for each subject, great revision strategies will help your brain to retain information.
2. Plan Your Revision
It is important to strike a balance between your social and academic commitments. Create a revision schedule that includes a breakdown of what you need to revise and when. Remember to take regular breaks and plan in times to relax with your friends.
3. Invest In Stationery
What better motivation to get studying than with some new stationery! It might seem trivial, but having new pens, notebooks, highlighters and sticky pads to make revision notes can really boost your focus and motivation to revise.
4. Find A Good Work Environment
Try to find a quiet place to revise. If you are finding it hard to focus, try taking yourself to a local library or a nearby coffee shop.
5. Make Revision Fun
Being creative about your revision is a big part of keeping yourself motivated. Whether you learn well from designing colourful flash cards, revision notes, or writing a song, try out some fun and memorable ways to revise for each exam.
