Currently, schools across the UK have been closed in a bid to slow the spread of the Coronavirus and it is looking ever increasingly likely that they will remain shut until September. But, what if you are a parent home-schooling your children without access to the internet. We have some advice to help you get through this difficult time.
TV Shows
There are many educational programs on the BBC and lots of documentaries available on Netflix. Find one to watch together and after ask them to create fact-file about what they have learned.
Books
Try reading a book or story together. If you don't have access to lots of story books, see if you can find some recipe books, magazines, instruction manuals or newspapers articles. Ask them questions on what they have read.

Art
Why not get the colouring pencils or felt tips out? Allow your children to get creative. If you haven't already, why not paint a rainbow to put up in your window.
Games
Play board games together. If you don't have access to any, why not get your children to make their own. Get them to write the instructions and rules too!
