Our 11+ Creative Writing Course is designed to help children of all abilities achieve the skills and confidence to approach every kind of writing challenge.
Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar:
Common spelling mistakes
Tricky spelling rules and patterns
Sentence structures and clauses
Punctuation (commas, apostrophes, inverted commas, semi-colons, colons, hyphens and dashes)
Composition:
Identify the audience and purpose for writing and select the appropriate form for their writing
Build cohesion within and across paragraphs (pronouns, precise tense choices and adverbials)
Planning ideas
Selecting appropriate grammar and vocabulary to enhance writing
Using figurative language to add meaning or build atmosphere in narratives (similes, metaphors, personification)
